Tour Plan

MEALS PLAN: Lunch & Dinner

Swiss Kenya safari driver guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel/Airport and depart for Tsavo East National Park via the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

Safari

You’ll know when you’ve arrived at Tsavo West National Park by the vast sweep of the plains and the endless sky. You can’t miss the elephants here. The park hosts the largest population of the noble pachyderms in Kenya.

At the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, you could get the chance to see some of the 80 endangered rhinos that live here, protected. And a visit to nearby Mzima Springs with its million litres of sparkling water will bring us up close to more elephants, hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife such as zebras.

The landscapes in this park always fascinate with their baobab trees and volcanic remnants. From acacia woodland to rugged desert to views of snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tsavo West is a safari paradise.

Safari

On our second safari day, we’ll have a morning game drive as we journey to Kenya’s largest park. Here you’ll also be amazed by the herds of red-dust elephants – rolling in the oxide soil and turning themselves a dusky shade of red.

Amongst the grasslands and savannah watch for large herds of giraffe along with the Big Five. Plus, down at the Galana River bisecting the park you’ll find hippo, crocodile and waterbuck.

The park is also known for its outstanding geological formations. Mudanda Rock, a natural dam, creates a watering hole where you’ll likely spot thirsty elephants. And you’ll always remember the Yatta Plateau, at 300 km, the longest lava flow in the world.

Safari

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch.

There’s nothing like rising at the crack of dawn to witness the animals emerging into the day. We like to call this the “Swiss Kenya Safaris Experience” – a beautiful and inspiring moment, especially as the African sunrise lights up the plains.

We’ll try to get in some big game sightings before heading back for a rewarding breakfast. After a little relaxing, we’ll check out of our accommodations, but the game viewing isn’t over yet!

We’ll head out to Tsavo watering holes at Mudanda Rock and the Aruba Dam. The waters are a natural draw for antelope, impala, waterbuck, elephant, and many others.

Drop off

We’ll drive to the Kenya coast we should arrive at your Diani/Mombasa Beach Hotel late afternoon.
