Tour Plan
MEALS PLAN: Lunch & Dinner
Safari
Swiss Kenya safari driver guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel/Airport and beginning of your journey to Amboseli Park along the Nairobi-Mombasa Road.
Along the way, we’ll take in the African sun rising over the savannah. Look for local homesteads and the Maasai herdsmen in their colorful wraps, tending to their cattle.
Safari
Even before you arrive at Amboseli, you’ll be guided by the unmistakable summit of Kilimanjaro, drawing you to the park. We’ll arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp.
After fortifying ourselves, we’ll venture out on our first game drive looking for elephant, lion, zebra, giraffe, cheetah, ostrich and so many others.
Amboseli is known as a park where the wildlife viewing is easy and abundant. The lack of dense foliage helps safari-goers and their expert guides to more quickly spot the park’s many and diverse animals.
The reserve is also a photographer’s dream, framed by the snowy flanks and summit of Kilimanjaro. Toward the evening and sometimes early morning, the daytime clouds obscuring this tallest peak, drift off giving lucky viewers a stuffing view of the mountain’s iconic summit.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Safari
We’ll maximize your time at Amboseli with an early morning game drive. And then after breakfast, another game drive as we depart for our next park, Tsavo West.
The look of the land is different here at Tsavo West National Park – varying between savannah, volcanic lava beds, wild ancient baobab trees and lush green oases.
Besides the larger game of lion, buffalo and giraffe, you’ll be treated to sights of smaller neighbors like bush baby, dik-dik, hartebeest and impala. Also, lots of monkeys scampering through the acacia trees amongst their distant cousins.
You may also spot rhinos at the special enclave here. More than 80 live in this unique environment, called the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary.
Dinner and Overnight
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or camp of your choice.
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Safari
We’ll start the day with breakfast and a game drive, heading toward Mzima Springs. As we pass from the dry plains to the sudden green vegetation of the springs, you may be startled by the dramatic shift in landscape and wildlife.
This cool watering hole presents a new cast of wildlife – hippo, crocodile and lots and lots of birds – skimmers, goshawks, ostriches, kingfishers, herons and more. This park never fails to amaze, but now it’s time to head to our next adventure, Tsavo East National Park.
As we traverse from park to park, you’ll have more opportunities for game watching.
This park is big – Kenya’s largest. And the red-dust soil lining the plains here is unique, not just in appearance but in how the inhabitants use it. The elephants love to roll in the soil, creating a dusky red coat on their hides. You’ll notice this colorful addition as you see them lumbering along.
Be sure to visit the Aruba Dam situated on the Voi River. This attractive man-made structure is a draw for the park’s wildlife, which take sustenance from its waters. It’s also a wonderful viewing spot for you.
Overnight
Dinner and overnight at safari lodge or tented camp of your choice.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch.
Safari
We’re up early with the rising sun and the first stirring of the animals! This is the best way to view the awakening savannah and wildlife as it emerges into the new day. Be ready for the adventure of the “hunt”.
After this first game drive, we’ll be hunting for a hearty safari breakfast at our accommodation.
Later, we’ll check out from our lodge, but the animal spotting isn’t over. We’ll go for a final game drive as we depart the park. We may see the Aruba Dam and Mudanda Rock, two well-known watering holes, where thousands of animals come to drink.
On our journey back to the coast, we’ll stop for lunch at an open-air, rustic restaurant with dramatic vistas of the Tsavo East plains.
Drop Off
we’ll head back to the Kenya Coast. Arrive late afternoon and drop off you at your Diani/Mombasa/Bamburi/Galu beach Hotel.
